‘Take Me’ Away contest!

TAKE ME AWAY contest!
To celebrate the upcoming release of my first Aphrodisia title, Take Me, I’m holding my biggest contest yet! I want to get the word out about my book, and I need your help!

ENTERING THE CONTEST
To enter the contest, copy the code (click on ’share’) of the graphic above and post it to your Facebook, Blog, Myspace, Website, or any of the options that are offered in the graphic. Come back and leave a comment in this very post with a link to your blog entry or wherever you’ve posted the graphic and your answer to the following question: If you could close your eyes and just be Taken Away somewhere at this moment, where would you go?

If for some reason you are unable to post the graphic, just blog about my contest or post about it on Facebook or Myspace or in a group somewhere. Just tell me where you’ve posted about it and provide a link to it, even if I can’t go there to check it out. But of course, I’m hoping you can share the link since I just adore the graphic Frauke made me!

The winner of the First and Second prize will be announced the morning of August 2nd. This contest is open to both authors and readers alike!

I’m also going to be giving away books by other authors during the month of this contest on my blog! So be sure to check back often! The winner will be posted the morning after, in the comments section in daily drawing. Because of the time it takes, I do not track down winners, so be sure to come back and check to see if you won!

RULES
Because of the nature of some of these books, you must be at least 18 to enter! By entering this contest you’re stating that you are at least 18 years of age.

This contest is open to residents both inside and outside the U.S. (If for some reason the Amazon/LUSH gift certificates cannot be sent outside the U.S., alternate prize will be decided upon!).

Winners are drawn randomly. I will be sending out books to winners for the book giveaway on my blog once a week (so I’m not at the post office every day!). Because of the time it takes, I do not track down winners, so be sure to come back and check to see if you won!

Everyone over the age of eighteen is eligible for this contest, including authors and professionals in the publishing industry (we’re all readers!).

Have fun and thanks for entering! (And by the way, if your comment doesn’t show up right away, it likely got stuck in the spam filter and I’ll pluck it out!)

If I could be taken away right now and deposited somewhere else, I’d love to be deposited on a tropical island. Ya know, like the Bahamas or Jamaica, or Hawaii…somewhere where the sun is hot and shining, the breeze is lightly blowing, the drinks are mixed and fruity, the water is warm, and the men are hot!

Lots of my friends read steamy stuff, so I made sure to say that!

Let’s see, if I could be taken away right now…
I’d be sipping an espresso drink at a sidewalk cafe in Italy while dressed in something chic and the gorgeous Italian waiter flirts with me when he brings me a pastry. He asks how long I’m in town and if I’d like to go to a gallery opening showcasing the artwork of a famous friend. I tell him I’d love to but that I’m happily married. He puts his hand over his heart and acts terribly disappointed.

It would be a deserted island (my husband would be with me)…but we would have all of the luxuries…a little bungalow to spend the days in, food, running water. Summer nights have been limited since daugher and granddaughter moved back in with us. Did get to go to Memphis for the Weekend. Saw Wicked the play and stayed at the Casino’s that was nice. When about $400, that was even nicer.

I was excited to post your graphic at Damned Scribbling Women where I’m sharing editing tips all week. Your contest gave me a break in the heat. Where would I go? Europe, but it’s too hot there right now, so my take-me-away is France in October. A week in Paris with the kids in an apartment near the Rodin Museum. Then – this is the beautiful part – they would disappear somewhere (I have a fuzzy vision of grandma or Mary Poppins) while the husband and I go winetasting. Reckless French fat-filled dining every night, romping through fields of lavender and vineyards, oh la la.

If I could be magically taken away anywhere, I would go back in time, go to London and locate a library that has a full stock of books in leather covers. I’m fascinated by them! And I haven’t had the fortune to find one on sale. I did see one but it was a religious book which I’m not into so I didn’t buy it. But yes, I would soooo love to have a huge collection of leather-cover books! =)
