Well, I’m going to disappearing for a bit! Starting tonight I’m moving into the Hilton to get things prepared for this weekend’s conference. I’m absolutely excited! It’s girl time, busy time and just a good old time for us all! ::happydance::

So if you could send good thoughts my way, this weekend/early next week a situation has arisen that I didn’t expect to happen…well, so soon. Anyway, it’s going to be a challenge and test for me, and emotional support is welcome! I won’t go into details, but may share after the fact. It’s nothing too crazy, but again, is going to be a little bit of a challenge.

Hey, be sure to drop by Naughty and Spice on friday! We’re having an awesome/unique guest blogger! And she’s giving away a just as unique prize!

Until we meet again…ciao!

::sisboomba::

I’m over at Naughty and Spice blogging about Mommy Cliques and what an outsider I feel like. Come on by and share your thoughts!

So I’m watching television and I have to come on here and blog about possibly the worst commercial/tag line out there. So bad I don’t even remember what car they’re advertising. Anyone got it yet???

When you turn your car on, does it return the favor?

Are you kidding me? Like, my cars supposed to turn me on? Really. I’m just happy if my car can get from point A to point B, and maybe have good gas mileage doing it. It really peeves me because they show a woman driving in the commercial. I’m sorry but this, When you turn your car on, does it return the favor? so misses the mark. My car is not a vibrator….and if it was, we’d never leave the driveway.

Anyway, I had a good weekend! I went to a wedding Saturday night and watched one of my fellow writer friends (Aurrora!) tie the knot ::romeoohromeo::   aaah how sweet! I’m so happy for her :)

And I got my butt back in gear and went to the gym. Yup, I did an hour on the ellipitical twice this weekend. And it felt soooooo good.  ::ponyexpress:: I’m trying to get my butt even more in shape for the conference. Yes, that’s by Friday. LOL. ::aaahthatsbetter::

Catch me over at Naughty and Spice tomorrow!

I was tagged by Kate Diamond! This is a fun and easy one :)

Here are the rules: Grab the nearest book. Open the book to page 56. Find the fifth sentence. Post the text of the next two to five sentences in your journal/blog along with these instructions.

Don’t dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the closest. Tag five other people to do the same.

So here’s page 56 of the nearest book on the bookshelf. Stella Cameron’s: A Cold Day In Hell

Angel glanced away. “There’s blood on Sonny’s clothes.”

“What we know, we know,” Chuzah said softly. “But it’s best that the truth be denied. The injury was intended to be deadly. What I don’t know is which boy was supposed to die.”

I’m tagging: Anyone who wants to do this!!

First, drop on by Naughty and Spice where guest blogger Bonnie Edwards is giving away a book and discussing ‘when is big, big enough?’ And yes, it kind of is what you’re thinking. ::blink::

Okay so that gift my fortune predicted yesterday? I got it!! I’ve been trying to gather quotes for my first Kensington release (August 2009!) and this morning I woke up to one from someone who inspired me to write erotic romance. Who I read and loved from the very beginning! So here it is and can you hear me squeeing? ::woot::

“Stevens is a provocative new voice in erotic romance. Take Me will leave you breathless.” – Jaid Black

Thank you, Jaid! Again and again, thank you! ::huggies::

And last night, I didn’t end up watching Pushing Daisies. Instead Crystal Jordan helped me figure out Ichat (yes, I struggle slowly to learn my Mac) and we chatted for an hour. Like with picture and voice. It was a bit of a trip, but fun!

So since I skipped my show last night, I watched it today on my laptop instead. Can I just say…*sigh* It didn’t disappoint. I loved it. I love the rapid fire witty dialog, the forbidden love storyline, the mystery in each show…it’s just clever and fun. I love it! It makes me so happy inside! ::sisboomba:: If you haven’t watched this show? Check it out! You can even watch it online like me by clicking here.

Have a fabulous Friday!!

So my fortune today says: You will receive a gift in the next few days.

And I say…bring it on!

One week until conference!!! Yaaay I’m so excited! Well, technically, the conference doesn’t start until Friday, but I’m getting started with some stuff on Wednesday night. That raffle basket I’ve put together from Naughty and Spice just keeps growing and growing. I need it gone from my room. Like yesterday. This conference is going to be fantastic. Did I mention there’s dancing? Like I could even bring a date…well, if I had one. ::whenaproblemcomesalong::

Well on the writing front I’m all kinds of excited. My agent is going to shop around my contemporary romance, and I’m really hoping someone loves it as much as I do! And then, I sent off the Sexy Beast novella to my editor at Kensington. And of course…really hoping he doesn’t write back and tell me it blows chunks in the worst way. ::whatEVA:: And so now I’m working on a character profile for my next Aphrodisia book. Then…I’ll delve into writing it in the next couple of days. Yay!

Hmm that’s about all that’s new with me. I suppose I should pick out outfits for the conference, but not a lot fits now days and I don’t really want to buy anything more. I’ll probably use safety pins and belts. Right, cause I’m so motivated that way. ::nono:: At least I have lots of cool makeup! Look into my eyes, not my bad wardrobe!

Oh! And I forgot to say, I’m SO excited to watch Pushing Daisies tonight. It’s like the only television show I MUST watch. Hopefully it’s as good as last year.

Have a good one!
