Well the kid’s better (mostly, just a lingering cough!) and I have yet to get sick. So a big Yaaay all around. And on another Yaaay I finished the Sexy Beast novella last night. I’m going to read over it tonight (maybe, I may need to let it ferment a little longer) and then send it out to my critique partners. Then the tweaking/editing begins. Then off to my editor who hopefully likes it *nail biting*.

So I’m in heaven reading the best book. I got it at RWA during one of the publisher signings. It’s called Master of Surrender by Karin Tabke. I’d never read her, though I had heard of her. I have a total heart-on for medieval books. Love them with a passion. For awhile you couldn’t find any. I bought every old one out there. So finding this book has just been like a big bubble of happiness during the reading portion of my day. *Sigh* So fabulous. And I’m even more excited that it’s a part of a series! Squee!

I love this era sooo much, that I’d love to write it. But there’s so much research and facts that I know I’d screw up. And the idea of getting hate mail from someone screaming, “B*tch, you don’t know your *sshole from your belly button!” turns me off a bit. It’s why I like writing futuristics. I can give them a contempory or historical feel, and make up my own rules! But who knows…maybe some day I’ll take the plunge.

Now…off to read/edit!
