Here are the questions she asked.

Questions:
1. If you have pets, do you see them as merely animals, or are they members of your family? I have a can named Neo (yes I named him after the Matrix) who was my baby before I had a baby. Now he’s still pretty cool, but come on, he’s a cat.

2. If you could have a dream come true, what would it be? Wouldn’t have to worry about money, health, safety issues. Really it’s money. ::yeahthat::

3. What is the one thing most disliked by you? That some people lie like it’s going out of style and have no idea what the word communicate means. And yes, this is about one person. And no, no one on here knows him.

4. What would you do with a billion dollars? Travel, pay off bills, buy the family/parents new houses, help charities. Basically anything anyone with a billion dollars would do.

5. What helps to pull you out of a bad mood? Exercising. Reading. Scented bath. Hanging with friends. Watching a good movie.

6. Which is more blessed, loving someone or being loved by someone? Both. I love that my daughter loves me…even if she says she doesn’t when she’s throwing a tantrum.

7. How do you unwind? Reading, listening to music, exercising, taking a scented bath.

8. What is your bedtime routine? Oh, the usual hygiene things, get the kid to sleep. Then internet/writing (I write at night mostly!) and sometime in there is a snack.

9. If you could watch a creative person in the act of the creative process, who would it be? La Nora.

10. What kinds of books do you buy? I love all books. I read a lot of romantic suspense, medieval romances, contemporary…really whatever catches my eye. I try to read different genres to keep my voice fresh.

11. Where do you see yourself in ten years time? Writing a lot. Being uber healthy. Ooo maybe even dating by then. ::whipitgood::

12. What’s your fear? Inflation (how is anyone in my generation supposed to get by?). Something happening to my child. Health. Growing old and having no money. Seriously, getting old is a fear. It’s like…do I save for college for my kid or save for myself? Oh, that’s if I have any money left over to save. Seriously, this economy SUCKS. ::loser::

13. What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is? She’s a talented writer :)

14. What’s the first thing you do when you wake up? Feed the kid and check email.

15. What’s your favorite magazine? I subscribe to Self magazine I think. Or is it Fitness. I do read it. I swear. Sometimes. They always have like crazy workout/fitness routines though. Just throw my arse on the elliptical for an hour and I’m good. ::happydance::

16. Formal wear or casual wear? Casual all the way. I’d live in my pajamas if I could. But I do love getting dressed up and stuff for conferences.

17. Mountains…. or seashore? Hmmm seashore with mountains behind me.

18. List people to tag: Anyone who wants to do it!

Well, I’d love to say I’ve got some deep post over at Naughty and Spice, but I don’t. It’s more just a rant about my difficulties transferring to Apple products. So if you’d like to come offer me advice or sympathy, that’s always cool! Or you could drop by just to see my new workout playlist! Woot!

p.s. Antibiotics are my friend. I feel SO much better. Good thing. I’ve got a wedding next wedding and the conference in less than two weeks (I start early!).

Come visit me at the Kensington Aphrodisia blog! Then read my post here if you want :)

I am like completely out of commission. Everything is on hold until I feel better. The cold morphed into some kind of evil throat debilitating thing. Can’t swallow and it’s like one of the worst pain ever. And I’ve lost my voice completely. I went to the doctor twice, yesterday they tried Tylenol with codeine and it did nothing. Today, antibiotics! Please, please, please, cross your fingers for them to kick in quick. I haven’t gotten more than a couple of hours of sleep.

All my critiques have come back (it’s crazy how they vary!) and I’m making some changes, but I had to put it down until I can focus. Ouch. Ouch and double ouch.

Despite being sick I managed to walk two hours today while my kid was in a fine motor skills class (it’s only for a half hour). I’ve lost 5lbs more in the past two weeks! And I haven’t worked out at the gym since July. Woot! I bought a pair of the next sized jeans down today. It was a great feeling! I’m one size away from when I got pregnant… ::happydance:: it’s just taken me almost five years to lose it! LOL.

K wishing everyone a fabulous weekend. ::ireallydo::

Can you remember your favorite book cover? Come by Naughty and Spice and leave a comment! You may win a copy of The Pleasure of His Bed! ::bedrocka::

So I just saw the worst movie probably ever made last night. Anyone got a guess? My Best Friend’s Girl. ::nono:: Seriously. Crass (and I usually like crass). Unrealistic. Characters were inconsistent and unbelievable. It was disturbing. A bit depressing (maybe that was me just depressed at how bad it was.) It’s just wrong on every level. I kept wondering who could write such a piece of crap script. And why Kate Hudson would sign up for a movie like this…did she owe someone a favor? ::whenaproblemcomesalong:: She can’t be hurting for roles. Usually, even in a bad movie, I’ll find something that was enjoyable about it. In this? Nothing. Nothing at all. *Sigh* A couple hours of my life and nearly $10 I’ll never get back. I’m still gagging a bit.
::whattha?::
So anyway, I’m sick. Did I mention that? Ah, no I don’t think I have yet. That little bug my kid had last week? Well I’ve been blessed with it now. No getting sick thankfully, but the worst cold/cough/sore throat out there. Gahd. It’s awful. I’m on day….four or five, I don’t know. I do know the tissue is best friends with my nose.
::loser::
Ah well. It is what it is. I’m off to bed, just had to drop by and blog about the biggest piece of ass movie to ever be filmed. And yes, can you tell I feel that strongly about it?
::yeahthat::

Dirty/nasty divorces and breakups? Come to Naughty and Spice and share your tale of whoa, no you didn’t!

Well, like I said I finished my Sexy Beast novella and it’s out to the critiquers and readers! So far one beta reader (non-writer) read it and said it’s my best shifter book yet! ::woot:: (let’s hope others agree–most importantly my editor!)

And the kid is still sick. I thought she was better, then she apparently made it a goal to hack up a lung. And her lunch, and has been coughing for days now. *Sigh* The poor thing. Hopefully she’s better Monday and can go back to school.

Okay, so since I’m between books and waiting for critiques, I got bored. I got bored and found an autumn background for my Twitter page and I made a FAQ page for my website! Yay! Seriously, I’d been meaning to do it for awhile and kept thinking…but when? That would take, like, time and everything. But tonight I just happened to have the time (and of course no life to interfer!) So if you wanna check it out, click here.

Tomorrow, off to a bbq with an old and close friend. Me time! Yaaay I can’t wait! Not sure I’ll have details…(well, that I should probably share that is!) but we’ll see!  ::iam:: I’m always on the lookout for a fun Monday post at Naughty and Spice.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Well do you? Come visit Natasha Moore at Naughty and Spice and join in a very voyeuristic conversation!

Well the kid’s better (mostly, just a lingering cough!) and I have yet to get sick. So a big Yaaay all around. And on another Yaaay I finished the Sexy Beast novella last night. I’m going to read over it tonight (maybe, I may need to let it ferment a little longer) and then send it out to my critique partners. Then the tweaking/editing begins. Then off to my editor who hopefully likes it *nail biting*.

So I’m in heaven reading the best book. I got it at RWA during one of the publisher signings. It’s called Master of Surrender by Karin Tabke. I’d never read her, though I had heard of her. I have a total heart-on for medieval books. Love them with a passion. For awhile you couldn’t find any. I bought every old one out there. So finding this book has just been like a big bubble of happiness during the reading portion of my day. *Sigh* So fabulous. And I’m even more excited that it’s a part of a series! Squee!

I love this era sooo much, that I’d love to write it. But there’s so much research and facts that I know I’d screw up. And the idea of getting hate mail from someone screaming, “B*tch, you don’t know your *sshole from your belly button!” turns me off a bit. It’s why I like writing futuristics. I can give them a contempory or historical feel, and make up my own rules! But who knows…maybe some day I’ll take the plunge.

Now…off to read/edit!

No, really I am literally sick and tired.

Uuuugh. I’m in sickland. My kid has been throwing up since last night and has a fever. It’s just endless moaning, groaning, and moooommy. And now I’m feeling nauseous (sympathy sickness? Or am I getting it already?) I haven’t written (much) in two days and am running on three hours sleep. I’m soooo close to being done with my Sexy Beast novella, it’s such a frustration. I’m literally on the last scene. *Sigh* It’ll pass and I’ll be writing and up and running again.
