So I’ve been doing a bit of happy dancing the past few days. Tempting Adam has hung in there on the best seller list at Samhain. There’s a lot of really hot books and paranormals that are out at the same time, so I’m thrilled people are still picking up my not quite erotic book! :) Thank you if you’re one of them! *Hugs*

I find myself in an interesting spot publishing wise. About a year ago I switched my focus to writing long books again, and stopped pumping out short stories like they were candy. But because of that choice I haven’t sold a book since…jeez, awhile now. Everything is in limbo… out for consideration. I have that free falling without a safety net feeling. And in the mean time I continue to write more, but the publishers I work with are booked way out, so if/when I do sell to them it could still be awhile before you see another one of my books *sniff* But keep your fingers crossed on the pending ones!

On the mommy front, my daughter has her first best fried. And it’s so adorable! She’s a girl at preschool, maybe 6 months younger than my daughter. They play together, hug, hold hands, and talk so much they get separated by the teacher all the time. LOL. She’s so my kid. I’m going to have to work on that over chatting thing.

I’m really getting excited, next weekend I’m getting a mini vacation. Emma Petersen is coming up for a visit and we’re doing some traveling around. Small traveling since Canada is now a passport (lame!) and gas is butt freaking expensive anyway. Grrr. But it will be good to have a bit of a break. Although (and she gets so annoyed by this!) I will bring my computer and write at night. It’s habit and prime writing time!

Have a great upcoming weekend!

Hi Shelli - just stopping by to say hi. Hubby and I both laughed at the piggy bank photo. It’s a bit like that here in NZ as well. I hear you on writing longer books. As soon as I finish my current WIP I’m heading in that direction.

    Hi Shelli,

I wanted to stop by and say hey. I feel your pain about the cost of traveling. I just returned from my Ireland tour, I think I told you about it. If you want to see the pics (and here my tirade against the menace that is US Airways), you go here to my blog. Hope you enjoy the pics!

BTW–I enjoyed visiting Canada. Montreal is very nice. You and Emma should have a blast.
