Sorry to be so late blogging. I’ve had a chaotic couple of days. Apparently around when I sold my first book (about two years ago!) I let my health slip a bit. The excitement and all. Well I’m back on track–big time. Even more so than the last six months. I’m down 14lbs just by diet and exercise alone. So wish me luck! I want to keep losing and get healthy again!
So I’m realizing my four year old kid has her first movie obsession. Barbie and the Twelve Dancing Princesses. I think she can quote almost every line in it, dance with them, and sing all songs–very well in key and rhythm, might I add! Which makes me proud since I’m musically inclined ;) And the movie does teach her some classical music, so I don’t mind it so much.
I’m just a few pages into Blake’s book and I’ve already learned some GREAT stuff. The scariest one being…have a log line before you write the screenplay/book. Really? Holy shnikey’s, why?! That stuff makes me pull my hair out. It never occurred to me to write it FIRST. I usually do it after. And I’m mostly a pantser. Or I write my synopsis as I go…does that make sense? But I’m going to try his way and his theories when I start my next book.
On a sad note, I’m so bummed about Heath Ledger. So bummed. I thought he was talented, sexy and very fresh in the Hollywood world. It’s very sad. So my sexy man pic today, is an actor (and a father :( ) who left us too soon.
