Favorite Movie Lines Sunday
One of my favorite holiday movie quotes will come from National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation!
Where do you think you’re going? Nobody’s leaving. Nobody’s walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas. No, no. We’re all in this together. This is a full-blown, four-alarm holiday emergency here. We’re gonna press on, and we’re gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny fucking Kaye. And when Santa squeezes his fat white ass down that chimney tonight, he’s gonna find the jolliest bunch of assholes this side of the nuthouse.
So last night I hung out with a group of people for my friend’s birthday. We ate food we shouldn’t have, but it was a lot of fun. Afterward we went to see a chick flick P.S. I love you. I figured it would be a cute little light hearted romance. Hmm. Not so much. Bring tissue.
Let me try and sum it up. If you’re mad at your boyfriend/hubby, this is the perfect revenge flick to take him to. Seriously, the guys on dates I could see them looking at the Exit frequently, as the tension in their shoulders became visibly obvious. And I swear I could hear their thoughts. She’d better put out tonight. What the hell did I do to deserve this? I paid how much to watch this?
I wouldn’t say I hated the movie, though I am a bit on the fence about it. It was just completely not what I expected. OH! Though I must say I never really got that whole fascination with Gerard Butler, but let me say that tonight…I got it. Mmm. What have I been missing?
