How much should a writer write a year? How much do you do? Come visit Naughty and Spice where we have Deanna Lee blogging about the topic!

So my daughter is turning four on Monday! It’s her first year in pre-school, and so I’m sending her to school with cupcakes on Thursday. Now I’m an okay cook, but I LOVE to bake. So I Googled around to find a famous cupcake recipe (no really, my keywords: famous cupcake recipe) And I found one! So I did a test run on the recipe, to make sure kids would eat it! I made cupcakes and the frosting from scratch (OMG like one stick of butter and a box of powdered sugar went into the frosting!) The result ——->

They kind of tasted like a fluffy sugar cookie (and sadly I hate sugar cookies!) but the testers liked them, and I think they’ll go over well. I just really wanted to bring something homemade. I wanted to be a Betty (Crocker, that is).

On a YAY! note, I just learned that Primal Attraction came it at #3 on the Best Seller list at Cobblestone Press for October, and two reviews recently came in for it. This is my futuristic/shifter that came out at the beginning of October. I’m excited! I really enjoy writing the futuristic stuff in addition to the lighter/contemporary stuff.

“Primal Attraction is a phenomenal story… Set at a steady pace this story will capture your attention from the beginning to the end. Exceptional dialog and an entertaining story line tossed in with primal love scenes complete this tale. This is one book that will have you howling for more.” 4 cups, Wateena Coffee Time Romance

“Primal Attraction is a terrific read with elements of traditional sci-fi, fantasy, paranormal, mystery and romance. It packs quite a punch for a short story! Although Ms. Stevens’ world is not Earth, she makes it feel comfortable and familiar and you are right at home there…The plot is filled with past lies and deceit… The romance between Sarina and Caden has quite a few bumps along the way, which makes it all the more interesting… I really enjoyed Primal Attraction and recommend it as a great way to enjoy an afternoon read.” 4 stars, Sandi, JERR

Today at Naughty and Spice I’m blogging about marriages of convenience, and how I secretly want one. Come join the discussion!

I’m blogging at Samhain this afternoon, so come visit me! if you want. But you know I’ve love it if you did :)

So I’m really excited. I’m going to have a new website built soon! I found someone new, who I trust, and who’s willing to do me for a decent rate! I say do me in the most pure and sweet way *batting eyelashes* So be on the lookout for some changes in the future!

Did everyone have a good Halloween? Of those who celebrate! I had a fabulous one! My daughter has mastered this trick or treating thing, and even ran into people’s houses at some points. Yeah, kind of need to work on that part. I saw an old friend I hadn’t seen in awhile, spent time with family and friends. Good stuff!

I also received a great review on my book Ain’t Misbehavin’ that I wanted to share. Thank you, Maggie, for the wonderful review :)

“AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’ is a wonderful tale of blossoming love. The writing is mostly bright and cheerful, laced with more than a soupçon of angst and sorrow. Shelli Stevens paints a large panorama of a well-plotted, lovely story. Her descriptions of Amsterdam, Paris, and parts of Washington state are good enough to have the sights and smells seem real… AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’ is for lovers. I recommend it.” Maggie, RRTErotic
