It must be summertime, because the blogosphere is just dead. Or…is it just me? Hee hee. I have to admit I’ve not been the best little blog hopper! Though I do try at least once a week.
So my book Trust and Dare has been out for one week now at Samhain Publishing. I dropped by MBAM (My Bookstore And More–the place you buy the book!) to look around, and that’s when I noticed it…
In the last three weeks

There it is! My book is #7 on the best seller list! I’m THRILLED! I’m a new author at Samhain, and it’s only been out one week! So to anyone who bought my book, thanks so much and here’s a (((BIG HUG!))) …and I hope you liked it
Onto a completely random topic…
Today I was watching that movie Cars, you know? The cartoon Disney movie? (I actually really love it, and love the song from it Real Gone by Sheryl Crow) Anyway, you know what I found myself doing? Analyzing the sexual chemistry between Lightening McQueen (the race car) and Sally (The Porsche). Does that mean I’ve officially become weird? Or just a bonafide romance writer.

When I first watched The Little Mermaid again when it was rereleased after it was done I told my hubby, “Prince Eric loved her so much! He didn’t even care she was a mermaid!” He thought I was a little off my rocker.
I’ve noticed most internet activity is slow lately.
What? You’ve only JUST become weird? Nah. It’s been a while.
I saw your best seller status this morning — Congratulations!!!
Kelley, that’s great! I agree, the mermaid thing would’ve have been a “umm, I don’t sleep with fish” moment for me.
Sela, you’re so right. I’ve been weird for awhile now! LOL. Thanks for the congrats
Congratulations Shelli! You rock girl. Glad things are going well for you. I have been bad at blogging myself through the summer. I must do better.
As a mom who’s seen Cars about 1,000 times, I can totally relate. There are lots of things you overanalyze once you know the songs by heart.
(You and E. should watch Robin Hood, Disney’s cartoon version. That will get your romance writer-ly mind workin’.)
Oh good point, Jana! I have that at home. I’ll pull it out, we haven’t gotten to that Disney movie yet
BEST SELLER! Oh, how fun for you! And that is over the last 3 weeks and your book has only been out 1…WOWZA! Girl, I want your secrets!
Oh…and Shelli…you know Allen is a pseudonym, right? LOL. The whole thanks for coming to my blog thing threw me. I was like…I do that all the time…oh…you don’t know who I am for a second. Der!
The Jenna part is a HUGE clue. LOL!
LOL k i’m an idiot. I suspected… but I wanted to be sure. I don’t know why I never knew that
Now I know which of my friends isn’t buying my books! LOL!! Too funny.
Congrats on your book.
Congrats on reaching BEST SELLER status!! You must be thrilled. I’ve been a very bad blogger lately. So have you read any Laura Kinsale yet? I just finished my third one. I’m kind of obsessed. I’m sure it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, though.
Um, how about when you’re noting plot points in Thomas The Tank Engine?
If it makes you weird, I’m weird too. It’s all good.
