So I’m just reading the best book right now. It’s not often I stop and blog about the book I’m reading, and how fabulous it is, but I just have to with this one. I love historicals. It’s probably my favorite genre to read. Well, pretty much every historical genre but Regency. I can’t get into those. Though every once in awhile I can handle one. What I’m reading now is Surrender by Pamela Clare and it is just delicious! I’m telling you. I’m savoring every page of this book like I would every bite of a piece of rich cheesecake. It’s that good. The setting, untypical, almost made me put the book down before it began. I’m only halfway through, but you start to get that unease of what if this book doesn’t measure up the whole way though. Somehow I doubt that’ll happen though. It’s just too darn good.
Anyway, onto other things. Like today I took my daughter to her very first movie!! And you know what?! IT SUCKED!!!!!! I’m not doing it again anytime soon. We saw Ratatoullie or however you spell it. It didn’t engage her at all. She was squirming and talking and had to go potty every 15 minutes. I left about halfway through. Though, I have to say that the movie did very little for me anyway so I didn’t mind leaving. It was dark and more adult friendly than kid friendly I thought. So will wait maybe another half year before we try attempt #2 at the movies. Though her new favorite movie to watch at home is Toy Story 2. She loooooves it. We picked it up at Half Priced books.
And on a last note. I did it. I entered the Brava contest. I vowed to wait until September to send my entry in, just in case something major overhaul inspiration came to me. But then I said no. it It was done, and I kept obsessing over it. To the point I stopped writing and just started re-reading. So I needed to get rid of it. Send that baby off into cyberspace so I can just finish writing the book. I’m about halfway done and have it already plotted out (we know that I’m a caprister).
All right. Off to be productive…or something.

Aww…sorry about the movie. My Roo sits through entire movies like a grown up. He’s an addict. But he still can’t feed himself yogurt, so it all balances out.
Good luck on the next movie! I’d recommend taking them during lunch time and bringing lots of snacks in your purse. That keeps mine occupied for at least 45 minutes.

The movie excursion sounds like it was an adventure and a half. Maybe next time…
All the best with your Brava entry.
