Hey, it could be what I’m hoping for. Well, with that fortune in combined with a chain letter (don’t laugh! LOL!) which promised an early morning phone call with good news….okay you can laugh.. I am a little. But you never know!!
So it’s been about a week and a half since I returned from Dallas. I have to say, I was going through what a lot of other writers seem to be going through. That post conference funk, tiredness. You have this great week, where you’re with your own kind. You have all this information about the industry and it’s tangible. You can sit in a bar until 2am chatting with people and not have to worry about waking up at the arse crack of dawn to feed the kid.
Reality can just be….well, a little too realistic. :) I think I’m coming out of the post-conference funk though.
One good thing, I came home and found my kid pretty much 100% potty trained. There was that small percentage before I left, where she refused to use the bathroom in public. Hey, I can’t blame her. She sat on a toilet at the mall that flushed while she was on it, and overflowed onto her butt. Needless to say she was traumatized! But she’s over it, so a big yaaay! Though she has got a nasty cold right now.
In other news, my first book with Samhain comes out next week. I’m pretty darn excited for it!
