Welcome to my Bon Voyage post before I put on my cowgirl hat and head to Dallas. That’s right, the big ole countdown has come to an end. At the arse crack of dawn on Monday, I shall be on a plane (God help me I hate to fly!) to Texas. My first time in the lonestar state, might I add.

I’m so utterly thrilled for this trip. I’ll get the opportunity to network, see friends, eye from afar (or introduce myself if I get up the nerve) the agents who’ve requested books from me. And, again, I must thank Cherry Adair for drawing my name, and giving me this scholarship for having this trip paid for. BIG HUGS, CHERRY!

As I’ve been saying, I get to find out how my book The Captured Rose did in the Stroke of Midnight contest. We have a fantastic Passionate Ink luncheon where they will be announcing the winners. I’m so excited to find out!

So not only do I have that to look forward to, but I also just found out today I’m up for more awards. Romance Divas is having their first annual Diva awards. You have to be nominated by your peers to win one. I was nominated for three different ones!

  1. Perseverance Diva
  2. Miss Congeniality Diva
  3. Most Inspirational Diva

I would have expected to be nominated for the ‘most likely to get abducted by aliens’ one (and yes they have it!) or something else random. But these are really sweet and very flattering awards to be nominated for. So big hugs to those who nominated me! It means a lot!

One last thing before I go. We are having a Live from the Soggy Carpet commentary all week at Naughty and Spice. Come by to hear the play by play.

I’ll some of you there, and the rest when I return! ((Hugs))

P.S. And for those who’ve been asking, no. I never got my dress!!! Can you believe it? Fortunately I ordered that backup, even though it’s more fun and less formal. Oh well. You do what you gotta.
