I have to say, I’ve gotten spoiled. I love Word Press. Like love it. Love it so much I hate coming back to blogger. Blogger is my stinky ex boyfriend type thing. I’d rather not go there. But, alas, it is what it is. Blogger for my personal blog, and Word Press for the group one. (I hang out over at the group blog a lot if you haven’t noticed!)

So I have to tell you this funny little story. So my mom goes to the beach the other day and afterward she comes up to me all excited. She’s like, ‘I found the neatest glass art on the beach. I’ll have to show you.’ And I’m thinking glass art? So she digs into her purse and pulls out a blown glass…marijuanna pipe. I had to break the news to her. She starts to scrape out the resin, which she thought was sand, and asks, ‘Oh. Well do you think we could sell it on Ebay?’ Anyway, I got a great laugh about it.

Hey, did you hear the good news about Samhain and Kensington Publishing? As quoted from Dear Author…

Samhain and Kensington has announced (will announce) a deal today at BEA which will mark increased exposure for Samhain and Kensington’s move into the steamier side of romance. Kensington and Samhain are jointly creating a Samhain imprint, like Brava or Zebra or Aphrodisia is an imprint.

Kensington will be publishing a Samhain imprint of one to two books a month. The books will be both trade paperbacks and mass markets. Samhain will be responsible for the acquiring and editing of the books and Kensington will print, market and distribute the books.

The Samhain books will have traditional print runs and will be marketed to buyers just like the other imprints of Kensington. This will be the first time that an epublisher will make its way into venues like Wal-Mart, Target and grocery stores. Christina M. Brashear, Owner and CEO of Samhain, is unquestionably excited about this partnership and believes it will help to bring new readers to Samhain as well as new readers to Kensington. She will be working closely with Senior Editor, Kate Duffy, to work out print release dates.

Pretty exciting, eh? And on that note, I’m doubley excited to find out that Samhain has offered me a contract for my full length book Tempting Adam, a book that uses a side character from Dangerous Grounds–which Samhain also bought. Both of those will come out in 2008. I was thrilled! Thought my editor teased me for a moment, and I got worried they weren’t going to buy it. (You big tease Laurie!)

All right, off to write! Happy Tuesday :)

I was a bad, bad, blogger last week. I got caught up with my release of Ain’t Misbehavin’ and my new blog. I promise to be back on track on Tuesday. For now though, I just blogged over at Naughty and Spice. Come see What I’ve been faking!
