So on Wednesdays I grammasit, and we usually go out to eat at an Asian buffet. And so I’ve decided (since I’m going to be routine about blogging on Wednesdays) that I’ll post my fortune cookie fortune and talk about it. So…
Today’s fortune cookie fortune: You have a natural grace and great consideration for others.
Okay, I’m agreeable with the great consideration for others part. Cause really I do. I’m the type of person who puts others first. Sometimes so much so that I used to be kind of a doormat type person. But the whole natural grace part? Not even. You’re talking about the girl who spilled her virgin daiquiri on her dress at Prom. Grace is one thing I’ll never have, and never claim to. Now if the fortune had said You are accident prone and have great consideration for others. That would have been perfect!
So on a squeal note. I got my new cover for the book I just sold to Cobblestone Press! Emma Petersen did it.
Old Centuron should have been a forgotten colony, but when Sarina arrives to do research, she confronts the brutal reality of how wrong she was. Now prisoner to a man who is both wolf and human, she faces a shocking truth and an undeniable passion.
As leader of the Wolfan, Caden knows they must defend themselves when humans return to the planet and threaten a century of peace. With Sarina as his prisoner, he’s confused by his strong desire for her.
Their only certainty is nothing will ever be the same.
Okay, so I’m going to be a writing fiend the next 2 1/2 weeks. Deanna Lee threw the gauntlet down for me (she knows I work better when I’m given a deadline) I told her my goal word count/page count before I left for my agent appointment. And she upped it by 50 pages. I often underestimate my own ability to write a lot. You’ve just got to be focused. But then I wrote the 80k erotic sci fi in two months. Sometimes it just flows.
I can’t believe it’s only 2 1/2 until I leave!!! I’m just so giddy and excited. Has everyone else gone on a shopping blitz? I swear. Me and Ebay are connected at the hip. (And by the way, the red formal is too big, so I’ve re-listed it and am on the hunt again!)

Oh Shelli, I’m not graceful either. I’m the girl who broke her arm during an aerobics class at the Y.
I’ve been on a shopping spree too!!! Love a good excuse to shop. Can’t wait for Nationals. I heard you’ll be at the President’s Retreat…I’ll be there, too!!!
Great cover, btw.
Hey Shelli!
Love that cover. It’s so intriguing… and hey, go with the flow. The writing flow, that is!
LMAO!! I love the dog pic. It’s fricking hilarious.
Yeah, I always laugh when people assume that because I’m a dancer that I must be naturally graceful.
BWAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA! Yeah, anything but! I’m a walking disaster most days!
I love your cover. . .I’m so jealous of all the new ones. I want mine (sniffle, snort, blow).
And no fair with the titillation thing (my new word). .. don’t tell us you’re writing and then not tell us what it’s about!
LOL.
Love that cover! Love that book.
You can doooo eeeet sweetie! Keep writing.
And I love that dog pic too.
Great cover Shelli! Beautiful!
Love your cover! Very nice.
The doggy pic is funny. LOL.
As for the fortune, grace is over-rated.
Gorgeous cover!!! I’m grandma-sitting for three weeks right now in Palo Alto, then we’re moving back to the Pacific Northwest. Great idea on the fortune cookies. You know there are no fortune cookies in China, right? Absolutely none.
