Oh. My. God. I did it. Somewhere around 11am this morning, I typed the end (for the second time) on my very first novel. Yup. I met the challenge, and edited/rewrote my entire first book–85k–in one week. I’m telling you, I feel like I just ran a marathon or something. I didn’t blog or blog hop, didn’t do the Thursday thirteen, have been absent on forums, didn’t do any reading. My life came to a halt. I did nothing but write. My parents took my kid away for two days, and for those two days I wrote for hours on end. Only stopping to eat.

Ooook. So I’m totally lying. A bit. Yes I wrote a TON. But those two days Emma was gone, wow. I was just so excited to have free days, I made plans. I went out to dinner with friends. And the first day I wrote for an hour in the morning and then went shopping. What did I get? Two pairs of shoes for Nationals! Buy early, pay off sooner, that’s my motto. And actually I got some money for my birthday that I used. I wish I could wear strappy, high heels, but I can’t. So I do wedges or platforms for sexaheel.
I also bought that Bare Minerals stuff for my skin, and even though I’m a little slow when it comes to makeup, I think I’m figuring out how to do it. And I really think my skin looks better. It’s better, for the price :) Anyone who read my Novelty Girls post this week is probably going, yeah yeah I heard all this. But sorry, now I have pics!
So yes, back to the book. It’s done, way better than it was before, and off and subbed to my publisher who said she’d read it tonight. Hopeful she’s thinking it’s as swanky as I do. *Biting nails*
So now I’m off to take the kid to lunch, because she has seriously been getting the short end of the stick in the mommy attention department this week. I’ll be blog hopping again tonight to hear what’s going on in your lives. Have a great weekend!

Dancing in excitement…
