Okay so last night I didn’t make 1k (See, Robin, I have my moments!) I put it off until the evening, and then by the time the night rolled to an end I was exhausted. Granted, I did spend a couple of hours in an impromptu yahoo conference chat with some other authors and my publishers. And that got way out of hand, but really was a great break from the norm. I’m not sure when the last time I laughed so hard was. But tonight I did make word count, and I’m officially at 20k in 2 weeks!
So today I took Emma to the mall to support some local chapter members at a book signing. I bought Gerri Russell’s The Warrior Trainer (she was the American Title winner!) and Pat White’s Harlequin Intrigue The American Temp and the British Inspector, and Shannon McKeldon’s Venus Envy. I’m so proud of all three of them. Now comes the hard part…which do I read first? *Grin*
Onto my own good news that I’m still all giggly and googly over. I got my first review for my book Silk Hauntings. I got a 5 star review from JERR!! It’s my second 5 star from them. They also gave The Pirate’s Booty a 5 star. So I’m feeling pretty good about it. Good thing because I was having a, ‘No one likes contemporary romance anymore’ break down this morning. Which is a whole other rant that I won’t go into. Anyhow, here’s part of the review!
“Silk Hauntings has all of the items that I deem necessary for a great book-sex, ghosts, sex, women learning about their bodies, oh, and did I mention sex? Ms. Stevens does a wonderful job of describing her characters in this short story-the main characters as well as the secondary characters. The five women who attend Taylor’s first seminar are hysterically funny and add a great deal to the story. Gavin and Taylor have fabulous sex EVERYWHERE! I was intensely aroused because not only do they have amazing sex, they talk and joke with each other. I watched them fall in love, as I fell in love with them… Ms. Stevens is an author that I plan to read again and again.” 5 stars, Marcy Arbitman, (JERR) Just Erotic Romance Reviews

Congrats on the great review.
Congratulations Shelli, that review is fantastic! I bought the Warrior Trainer and Pat’s The American Temp and the British Inspector also. I can’t wait to read them!
Congrats on the review! And that pic is just wrong, wrong, wrong.
Congrats!!!!!!!!!!
Yay, Shelli! I told you your writing gets better with every book!
And Karen’s right — that picture is WRONG!
Thanks for coming down to see us, Shelli! It was nice to see you (however briefly!) outside of the Emerald City Conference.
Congrats on the great review, too!
