So I’ve got my big ole ‘thank you Cherry’ package ready to send off in the mail. Not much, but just a little something something to tell her how FREAKING AMAZING she is.

I have to say mega congrats to mi amiga Michelle who writes as Lillian Feisty and has made her first sale (on her first submission!) to the EC Caveman 2007 anthology. So congrats, Michelle! You deserve it!

Then I have to offer up some M&M covered congrats to my almost three year old daughter Emma. Emma has successfully and consistently been using the potty 2-3 times a day for a few days in a row now. This up from once a month! The thought of having a potty trained child is completing thrilling, and a little scary? The scary part comes from the images of being in the car on the freeway during traffic, and her piping up that she has to go potty. Still, I think the ‘oh sh*t’ moments will be worth not having to break the piggy bank for diapers.

I read an ebook today. A long one. And it was gooood. I got encouraged by the Literary Sass review of Celia Stuart’s Once in a Blue Moon. See I bought Celia’s book ages ago, but hadn’t yet made time to read it. I made the time last night/today. It was seriously good stuff, she sucked me in. Celia has a voice that makes me want to pack my bags, move to Texas, and find myself a beta cowboy. Seriously, she makes beta’s hot. Thanks, Celia, for the fabulous read!

Okay, so after yesterday’s post I was ready to retire those two books, right? Then I decided to have Jodie and Michelle read the one that won the Stroke of Midnight. And ya know what? They both said I should keep aiming for NY with it. That it was really good. So I’m about to beat my head into a wall now. I just don’t know. I think I’ll send out two more queries, which will bring it up to 4 ‘hope’s in the mail’ I’m waiting to hear back on . If they all come back with an R, they’re going to epubs.

Here’s my Halloween pic of the day….

Celia is so funny on her blog, etc. I need to read her stuff. Glad to hear you enjoyed it.

Lots of good news is happening lately - makes me want good news. Keep pitching that story Shelli - there’s a reason it won the contest! :)

    Gross pic BTW.

    Shelli,

Great job on everything! I’m glad to hear you got your daughter potty trained. I will tell you, the car insident can be frightening, but it all works out. At least my daughter didn’t have a lot of accidents once she got used to it, so maybe your daughter will work it otu well too. :)

Shelli, I heard about what Cherry did. Congrats! I’m only sorry I had leave early, and missed it. It was great seeing you again.

Oh, Shelli, you’re such a sweety! And I know I said it already a thousand times, but I am so f*cking happy you won the trip from Cherry! You deserve it!

Speaking of which, I do think you you need to pursue NY. You made a good step today and I’m proud of you!

So, give a big hug to Emma for me about the potty training thing! That rocks!!!

Congrats on potty training the munchkin.

And I loved Celia’s Once in a Blue Moon! Cowboys named Ty are hot!

And I so stoked about Ms. Fiesty’s news! Diva power!

And are you still going to send me a copy of Grounds? I want to read it!

I was so happy when I got mckenzie potty trained too but I get scared about the same thing. I’m so afraid she is going to have to go when I can’t stop for her!

LOL Cowboys named Ty rock my world =)

Thanks babe! (ask me how many NY rejections that one racked up 8-) )

Congrats on the potty training going successful! Of course there will be those times where she pees her pants out in public, but it will be wonderful overall not to be changing a ton of diapers!

Keep pushing your book to NY! I know it will be snatched up!
