Okay, so I’m back! Ran a contest yesterday so ended up not blogging. Thanks for everyone who came to the CP chat yesterday, and entered my contests! So guess what I’m typing on? My laptop! I couldn’t believe it! I sent it out Tuesday afternoon and it came back Thursday afternoon. I may have had a couple problems with HP, but their customer service department is awesome!

So when Fed Ex delivered my laptop the delivery guy was this cute guy who’s actually the older brother of one of my childhood friends. Not that I recognized him. He recognized me and said ‘you know my sister.’ And I look up thinking sh*t. I mean I was doing chats online and waiting for the computer, so I hadn’t showered, was still in my pj’s, my hair looked like butt, and I answer the door and the delivery guy is someone I know? A kinda cute someone I know? *Sigh* It never fails.

Anyway, the chats went good yesterday. I gave away another Sex Bomb, I seriously love those! And they’re great prizes. Last night I did my first edits for Christmas book! I’m so excited for that! My first non-erotic romance published book.. especially since it’ll be in a print anthology. I went walking this afternoon with Danielle and Emma. The 2.5 mile walk around Greenlake. Then had pizza for lunch! Der.

Oh! I’m yacking–well typing–away and haven’t yet spoke of my crap news. I got a rejection from Ellora’s Cave for my caveman entry… hold on, you ready… here I go….
Crying Into TissueOkay, so it’s not that bad. I was bummed, but I already have plans for where to sub it to next. Because I honestly think it’s a darn good story. And the letter wasn’t ‘die and never sub here again’ it encouraged me to sub again and complimented my writing and story. But then again, it was probably a form letter. Who knows.

Okay, off for the weekend (unless I’m so inspired to blog!) I hope you guys all have a good one too!

Here’s the two books that are out with Cobblestone Press today. Buy them here.

Normally shy, quiet, unassuming Carol sets out to nab her man. She’s seen him frequent the local pub and knows that’s where he goes every Friday night after work. Dolled up to the nines, her plain hair highlighted, her drab matronly garb traded in for a sexy, slinky black dress, she sits at the bar and waits.

Two years after a nasty divorce, women in general aren’t high on Detective Taggert’s priority list. All he cares about is his work and his teenaged son.—until he surprises even himself by taking the sexy seductress home for one night of passion.

As a professional sex therapist, Jonathon Sinclair has heard it all. As a master of sexual domination like his brother, Jackson, he’s done even more. Incognito. He’s never allowed his two lives to cross. Never wanted them to, until he listens to Rachel Morrissey relive her “orgasmic nightmares” that have turned her into an insomniac.

Rachel put her private life on hold to become a successful prosecuting attorney and a representative of female independence. Plagued by erotic dreams of submission that leave her confidence shaken, she’ll do anything to make them stop. Even if that means living out the dreams.

The winner of my Sex Bomb contest is Shuck Ying. Shuck, please email me at shellistevens@aol.com and tell me which book you’d like (Tourist Attraction or The Pirate’s Booty), and give me your address so I can mail you your Sex Bomb!

Thanks to everyone for playing! Check back often at www.shellistevens.com and www.thenoveltygirls.blogspot.com for upcoming contests!

Hey all!

I just wanted to do a quick post during the day before a long one tonight. I’m doing a chat on the Cobblestone Press discussion loop–actually many authors are today–and I’m up at 2pm PST/5pm EST. To sign up send an email to
cobblestonediscussion-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

I’ll have some excerpts of current and upcoming books. Plus I’ll be giving away a copy of one of my current releases, and a… Sex Bomb from Lush!

Sex Bomb: Scented with the ‘come hither’ fragrance of jasmine and ylang ylang. Soak yourself in its pink, scented waters before a promising night out. Clary sage essential oil, as well as being a reputed aphrodisiac, helps you to keep a balanced viewpoint and a clear mind, so your head will not be turned by all the offers of champagne, caviar, lobster and rides home in a ferrari. However, the Sex bomb is not just for nights out; it makes a wonderful start to a quiet night in. Its sumptuous luxurious fragrance fills the whole household to turn your home into a pleasure palace. Share if it you dare.

Quick post since my big post is at The Novelty Girls . So here it is, the good the bad and the ugly.

The Good: I got offered a contract for my short Christmas book–a very sweet, non-erotic story I wrote for my conservative relatives. Plus it’ll be paper published, so my relatives can actually hold it!–in the Highland Press Christmas Wishes anthology. So it’s my first non Cobblestone Press sale.

The Bad: I got a rejection from St. Martin for my manuscript.

The Ugly: I sent off my laptop to HP in the box they sent me, so I’ll be limited in my online time for a bit. No nightly yahoo chats or writing till the wee hours.

And I’m off. Offline that is. *Sniffle*

So here’s my nice, wholesome family photo I’ll leave you with.

Man, I love my online blogging family. I went away for a few days and came home to a bunch of sweet comments! And my cold is gone!

So yeah, Happy Memorial day everyone! What did everyone do over the weekend? I went up to Whidbey and spent the weekend at the cabin. It was really nice. Things are still busy with the ECWC. In fact, this is the first year we maxed out on registrations, and we’re actually having to turn people away. I feel pretty bad about that, but we try and keep it a small conference–200 max–and I know we even went over that a bit.

So yeah I spent my weekend going for long walks, garage saling, thrift shop diving, and taking Emma to the park. Emma met a friend at the park, a girl a little older than her, and she had this totally hot dad. Now, I checked for a ring (habit) and he wasn’t wearing one, but I’m sure he wasn’t single. No guy is that hot and single. Possibly military, clean cut, fit and he spoke to me. So that was guy #1 that I lusted after. Guy #2 was a bit out of left field and the attraction came slower. Not really sure how I feel about it today. I met him at at a small store on the Island. He was doing the cash register. Nice eyes, long reddish hair, and tattoos all over his body. Usually, I’m not into the biker/bad boy look, but he was kinda flirty and I got a little bit of butterflies.
It really makes me wonder at how I can go from two ends of the spectrum, clean cut to biker boy. Ah well, I don’t act on anything, just blog about them. :)

I finished my first shifter! Woo whoo! It ended up like 4k longer than I expected, but it needed to be. It’s off with the critique group as we speak (I’m leaning heavily on them for this one since it’s my first shifter!)

I’m so sad to hear about the Crocodile Hunter’s death. Did you guys see that? I can’t stop thinking about it. Did you hear about that? Click here for article

Okay, I’ll be sure and blog hop tonight and see what you’ve all been up to! And then tomorrow… sniffle… I have to send my laptop off in a big box back to HP. The monitor is having big meltdown issues. So I’ll be without my computer for a week or two. Internet time will be brief again. *Sigh*

Anyway, have a great BBQ tonight if that’s what you’re up to.
