Okay, so I’m back! Ran a contest yesterday so ended up not blogging. Thanks for everyone who came to the CP chat yesterday, and entered my contests! So guess what I’m typing on? My laptop! I couldn’t believe it! I sent it out Tuesday afternoon and it came back Thursday afternoon. I may have had a couple problems with HP, but their customer service department is awesome!
So when Fed Ex delivered my laptop the delivery guy was this cute guy who’s actually the older brother of one of my childhood friends. Not that I recognized him. He recognized me and said ‘you know my sister.’ And I look up thinking sh*t. I mean I was doing chats online and waiting for the computer, so I hadn’t showered, was still in my pj’s, my hair looked like butt, and I answer the door and the delivery guy is someone I know? A kinda cute someone I know? *Sigh* It never fails.
Anyway, the chats went good yesterday. I gave away another Sex Bomb, I seriously love those! And they’re great prizes. Last night I did my first edits for Christmas book! I’m so excited for that! My first non-erotic romance published book.. especially since it’ll be in a print anthology. I went walking this afternoon with Danielle and Emma. The 2.5 mile walk around Greenlake. Then had pizza for lunch! Der.
Oh! I’m yacking–well typing–away and haven’t yet spoke of my crap news. I got a rejection from Ellora’s Cave for my caveman entry… hold on, you ready… here I go….
Okay, so it’s not that bad. I was bummed, but I already have plans for where to sub it to next. Because I honestly think it’s a darn good story. And the letter wasn’t ‘die and never sub here again’ it encouraged me to sub again and complimented my writing and story. But then again, it was probably a form letter. Who knows.
Okay, off for the weekend (unless I’m so inspired to blog!) I hope you guys all have a good one too!
Here’s the two books that are out with Cobblestone Press today. Buy them here.
Normally shy, quiet, unassuming Carol sets out to nab her man. She’s seen him frequent the local pub and knows that’s where he goes every Friday night after work. Dolled up to the nines, her plain hair highlighted, her drab matronly garb traded in for a sexy, slinky black dress, she sits at the bar and waits.
Two years after a nasty divorce, women in general aren’t high on Detective Taggert’s priority list. All he cares about is his work and his teenaged son.—until he surprises even himself by taking the sexy seductress home for one night of passion.
As a professional sex therapist, Jonathon Sinclair has heard it all. As a master of sexual domination like his brother, Jackson, he’s done even more. Incognito. He’s never allowed his two lives to cross. Never wanted them to, until he listens to Rachel Morrissey relive her “orgasmic nightmares” that have turned her into an insomniac.
Rachel put her private life on hold to become a successful prosecuting attorney and a representative of female independence. Plagued by erotic dreams of submission that leave her confidence shaken, she’ll do anything to make them stop. Even if that means living out the dreams.

That picture is just WRONG in so many ways! Rrrrrroflmao! Hugs! Sorry about the R. You are so my hero Shelli! R or no R you’re still blazing along and building a fabulous career! Have a wonderful weekend!
Congrats on getting your laptop. YAY! I’d go crazy.
Sorry about the R. I’m glad you know where to sub next! Good Luck.
Even though we already chatted about the R from EC…I still say that it sucks!! But I know that its a matter of time before they say yes..then I can say I knew her when! LOL
Fed Ex guy…we both have the same story bout our first meeting with him! Funny how its someone that we knew as kids and pretty much watched us grow up! Never fails huh?! *Sigh*
Enjoy the weekend even though its suppose to rain all weekend! :( Let’s try to walk again soon!
Sorry about the rejection — I’m sure you’ll find the right home for it.
Doesn’t that always happen? Unshowered, not dressed, and the cute one shows up. Well, at least when they ask you out, you know it’s not just because you’re wearing the f– me pumps!
LOL, isn’t that the way it always works?
Sorry about your rejection, but keep submitting to someone else. That book deserves to be out there, I just know it!
Have a great weekend.
YOu still get a hug for the rejection and the cute guy/butt hair =)
Aww, bummer on the rejection. Keep trying!
:o)
Hugs on the rejection, Shelli. One of my NZ writing friends received one, too. In fact her letter sounds a bit like yours. Your picture reminds me of an ad on our radio over here.
An egg and a sausage are in a frying pan. The egg turns to the sausage and says, “ohh, it’s a bit hot in here.”
And the sausage says, “Bugger me, a talking egg!”
I laugh every time I hear it…
