Yay I got my Halloween cover! So excited :) And here it is. And, please, no cracks on how she looks like Cher! This is part of the Vegas Magic series I’m writing with Loribelle Hunt and Sara Dennis. So I put an excerpt up on my website from This Spells Trouble. If you get bored you should go check it out. I’m kinda proud of this book, it was my first vampire paranormally thing. Excerpt
And I’m not the only one who got their cover today. Since my fabulous friend Lacy Danes always pimps me, let me do her. *giggle* She got her cover and her blurb for her anthology What She Craves, coming out with Kensington Aphrodesia next year! And here it is!
WHAT SHE CRAVES Lacy Danes
In first time author Lacy Danes’ sizzling erotic stories, adventurous women are willing to do anything, risk everything, and break all therules for a taste of sensual bliss…
A beautiful courtesan skilled at pleasing others finds a man who can satisfy her hidden desires… At the season’s most decadent orgy, a prim widow learns how to give—and receive—the ultimate pleasure… In a mysterious erotic ritual in a small English village,a young woman is chosen by a wickedly seductive green-eyed male to be his mate—and his queen…
So I’m back from Atlanta and I’m kinda in limbo mode. I want to write new stuff, but also want to figure out what to do with the unsold novels I’ve got. So I’ve gone back to one of my unsold books and started rewritting the ending. Because I wrote this book a year ago, and I’ve come so far since then! I mean, a year ago my characters were bi-polar, and the males were totally dramatic alphas. Man, I wrote an ending straight out of a 1980’s Sandra Brown novel. And I’m a bit embarrassed to admit I like it, but I have a feeling it won’t fly with NY. It’s that whole dramatic revenge plot. Yummy. But gotta be toned down. Anyone else notice how much your writing changes in a year? I think you should grow though, because that means you’re getting better and learning. You gotta develop that talent.

Nice cover! And Lacy’s is HOT!!!
You have been doing amazing things with your writing in the last year! I’ms so proud and happy for you!
You’re cover is beautiful!! So happy for you. Lurve CP and congrats on being on the bestseller list… going for a hat trick eh? (Um if you dont know what that means it’s an aussie term meaning going for 3 in a row -it’s an improtant number if you were a cricket bowler) Uuh it just sounds odd here but its a good thing!
Actually, I don’t think she looks like Cher so much as diva Christina Cross. (But with darker hair.)
Hat trick = also ice hockey slang for scoring 3 or more times in a single game. Love your new cover & Lacy’s too. Here’s to mega sales!
Love the cover. My writing has changed just in the past six months. Now that I have written my novella’s I feel like the first half of my novel needs so work!
Love your cover!
Beautiful book cover, Shelli! Yes, I agree about writing changing over time. I’m revamping some older stories right now because of that.
Thanks for stopping by my blog, btw! :-D
Love your cover - love Lacy’s cover! I definitely think my writing has changed in the past year - big time. I can even go back and read the stuff I wrote in high school - ugh! That stuff is awful!
That cover is great…your’s and Lacy’s..I posted on her blog too. I’m off for a long weekend with my girlfriends..chat at you when I get back. Smooches!!!
Great covers–both yours and LAcy’s!
Love the cover. Cobblestone does such awesome covers I wished sometimes I could write erotica.
I’m just finishing up revising one I wrote two years ago. I’ve literally had to go line by line to fix it. OMG, the stuff I’ve come across makes me cringe. As much as I want to get it out there ASAP, I refuse to send it out in it’s present state LOL.
Gorgeous covers.
I’ve absolutely noticed a change, both in my writing and my characters. I’ve been writing for just under a year, and I can safely say that I don’t suck now!
:-)
I LOVE the new cover!!!!
I’d say that in the last year I’ve learned A TON and the Divas know it. After all, they had to read my first effort in the Best First Meeting contest last January. Since then, they’ve seen the changes.
What would I do without the Divas?
I like the new cover. Lacey’s, too.
I think that finding your writing changes is a good thing - it’s good to grow and move with the times. I like to think that my writing has changed - I know it’s certainly become hotter than when I started writing eight years ago.
Love your new cover hon!!! Gorgeous :) I wasn’t thinking Cher, I was thinking you with dark hair!
Lacy’s cover is hot too :)
Aw, Thanks for the pimp dear!
I too love your cover it catches your eye.
Hugs and kisses,
Lacy.
Like both covers!
:o)
Both of those covers are GORGEOUS and I love your title Shelli!!
Cover Heaven indeed! No jokes here!
SEeing how much your writing has changed is a great thing!!!
