I’m sorry I didn’t blog hop and come say hi to you guys yesterday. I wanted to, and I went to a few… but I was in a bit of a funky mood. It’s sort of gone, but then not really. I’m frustrated, stressed, annoyed, just a jumble of emotions over various things.
Last night I went and hung out with Lacy Danes, my crit partner and friend. She’s got two kids around Emma’s age, so we hang out with them a lot. It’s great for the kids and us! But last night Emma was with her grandparents, so Lacy and I just hung out and had wine and yacked. Yacked about Nationals, and men, and life… especially Nationals though. I’m so excited!
Emma’s back today. Arrived home this morning, but late enough so I got to sleep in until 8:30… it was amazing. I swear, have kids and sleeping in is a rusty memory. So we went swimming in her plastic pool, ate popsicles, and now she’s lying on the couch watching Aristocats before she takes her nap. Well in between spuratic bursts of getting up to play with her My Little Pony. Isn’t it funny how the toys of our generation have come back? I used to LOVE Strawberry Shortcake. I’d smell her head all day. Emma digs the ponies and the Care Bears.
So I’m still plugging away at the Caveman entry, but not getting as much done as I should. BAD SHELLI! Oh well, I’ll work on it when Emma passes out.
Okay, pic of the day… I haven’t shocked or grossed you out in awhile. So I think it’s time. This one might give you the willies a bit. It does me, I can’t really look at it. I guess the person really got nailed…

Oh yeah, so did not need that grossing out today LOL.
Sounds like a relaxing weekend, hope you get feeling more put back together though.
God, talk about how I feel I was told I was going blind in my right eye while I was growing up and last night I realized that it is just about gone lol I still got one really good one*knock on wood*.
I used to love carebears so much one of my earlist memories and dancing and singing along on the coffee table lol. Yes it is really strange how all the toys are coming back I am almost afraid to think what might come out next.

Hope you are feeling better. I miss sleep as well. Its hard to come by with a toddler.
Doesn’t gross me out per se… But it sure gives me the willies!
Hope you’re feeling better. Jsut think of the strawberry shortcake smell for a while… it’ll make you feel better :-)
sorry to hear you’re feeling blah..or were. I understand that all too well. :(
cool pic, in a really morbid sort of way. doesn’t gross me out but it does incite the “OUCH” factor big time.
I TOTALLY Agree about the toys I grew up with coming back. It’s fantastic!!
Ew, the photo is scary.
Yeah man, my little ponies!!! My sister had every hair salon, stable, ice cream shop, you name it!!
Um, ok that nail in the eye thing was on CSI Miami this past season…hehe
Chris! That’s my best friend above, she was in school but she’s done now. So it took her until now to come to my blog. Hopefully she’ll be around more now ;)
Ugh! I couldn’t look - gotta type fast because the comment box lines up exactly with the picture LOL
Sounds like you had a great weekend. There’s nothing better than hanging out with a pal and a good glass of wine :-)
Oh gawd, I bet that friggin HURT (pic). I had a good old gander at it. I must be sick…
Glad you got a lie in!
:o)
All of my neices have My Little Ponies. I don’t know if they like them or not, but they’re stuck with them since I like buying them so much. And, my sister and I went through this phase a while ago (okay, two years ago) where we kept buying each other Strawberry Shortcake stuff. Ah, the memories…
Oh, gross pic btw…
That pic is freaky stuff.
My daughter loves My Little Ponies - she’s got a bunch that she lines up and plays with. Gotta love it.
Sorry about the blah feeling. Hope it’s gone now. I’m in a “I don’t want to write” mode. I’d rather do other stuff. Not good.
Same here Karen. I’ve messed about all day.
:o)
Hey Shelli! Stopping by to say hi and enter The Pirate’s Booty contest. Looking forward to your upcoming release. Jewelry, purses, chocolate and books are some of my favorite things. Fingers crossed! That would make a great birthday present for me. LOL
Oh, and that picture. Yuk! Brings back memmories. My husband had a piece of metal stuck in his eye last year. It was so gross I couldn’t look at him. He had to go to two different eye specialists and fortunately the second one was able to remove it. He’s fine now.
Yuckity Yuck on that picture. I wonder how in the world that happened.
OMG. My eyes are watering now. *_* I can’t stand anything like that that involves the eyes or the feet. Gar…
Thanks for sharing, Shelli. :P lol
