So I’m a little worried. Or maybe worried isn’t the best word. But I’m… hmm… curious? That Halloween book I wrote is a lot different from what I usually write. It’s dark, it’s really paranormal (versus just a ghost) and, well, it’s totally new for me. So I just got feedback from one of my staple readers (thanks Jo!) who reads everyone of my books without fail. She’s not a writer, she’s my test audience. And she liked the book, gave it a 9/10, but said it was a lot different then what she was used to. Soo… I’m wondering if this is how people will react? Of course I’m assuming that anyone who buys my book will have read my others. Silly assumption. Anyways. I guess we’ll see.

All right. Friday’s are short because I promo Cobblestone’s new books for the week. But first my wacky picture of the day. I’m freaking a bit, because I’ve already hunted down all the crazy photos on the web. What happens when I run out? Will people still visit me? (sniffle) Anyway, here you are!

Even after you run out of the crazy pictures I’ll see visit you Shelli. :D And I’m looking forward to reading This Spells Trouble.

me too, about reading your book.

and let me just say, who says an author can’t write in 2 seperate genres? happens all the time, I think that would be the least of your concerns. :D

and don’t worry about the pics, you were fun before them, you’ll be fun after them. :D

I’ll still visit without the pictures *g*

I wouldn’t worry about your story being different from your norm. Some just don’t end up how we envisage them to start with. The characters turn stubborn and behave in a weird manner just to confuse the poor author.

Good luck with the EC story! Just remember - you’re a great writer. You can do this!

If you don’t post pictures, I’m done with you! LOL

Are you crazy? We love you, Shelli! Pictures or no pictures.

I have one story that is waaaayyyy different than the way I normally write. But it was there, I wrote it, it’s one of my personal favorites and it was one of the ones I recently sold…they are all apart of you and your readers will love it too.

Ditto what everyone else said. ;)

I’m sure the story will be great - it’s good to write in two different genres cos then you’ll gain even more readers and you’ll soon be a superstar!

I’ve been coming ’round before the pics and I’ll be coming ’round after them so don’t worry.

And after your comments about Evangeline’s story during the chat last night, I bought it. Whoo-wee! It was great!! :) I read Temptest’s too - good good good.

    I’m buying Cora’s next.

Actually nothing says “Sorry about the crabs” like a big, fat divorce settlement.
