So I changed my pic again. I get bored easily. Plus this was a summery pic of me before I went to my friend’s graduation this weekend. So I think I’ll leave it up for a bit. Plus it showcases my new and improved lighter hair! Woo whoo!

I have to say, today I got a lot of writing done. And I’m addicted, utterly addicted to writing paranormals now. I love writing vampires, ghosts, and witches. It’s just a blast! I thought I’d get grossed out by the whole blood and gore of the vampire stuff, but I’m not. I LOVE IT! I think I may end up writing more. Or after talking to Evangeline Anderson a lot, I think I may try fantasy. She gave me the greatest tips on how to write a threesome scene. Fun, fun!

Also, I wanted to send a big old congratulations to Karen for selling her first book ever to Cobblestone Press! Congrats Karen!!! I pushed and encouraged her to do it, and then she sold! I take a lot of pride in recruiting this one. So who’s up next? Who can I convince to sub to Cobblestone Press?

If anyone’s interested, the girls of Love, Lust, and Other Oddities (I’m one of the girls) are having a yahoo loop chat at eBook Love tomorrow. There will be contests, give always, excerpts, and good times. We’ll all be there throughout the day. Also I blogged there (at the LLOO blog) yesterday using the topic ‘writing for the industry’. I’d be curious to get some feedback and see what you all think!

I painted Emma’s toe and fingernails for the first time ever today. She loved it!! She wanted me to keep going and I had to cut her off before she became this big mass of pink goo.

Okay, I know I really don’t have a reason to put a picture of someone in a goat costume on my blog. But, I saw it when I was searching for the confetti pic for Karen, and wanted him on my blog. So there he is. My goat.

Did you need a goat? I had no idea you were bent that way!!!! Is there a goat in your next paranormal? “Goat man shifts between two worlds trying to find out if he should live by his horns or his…” OK, maybe it won’t work.

Mia LOVES getting her toenails and fingers painted - although it’s hard to get her to note touch her fingers until they’re dry.

See, writing out of your comfort zone I believe makes you stronger. Go for it!! Yey you!

    LOL! Love the goat!

    Congrats to your friend, Karen!

I think it’s great to find a genre you’re comfortable writing!

    Happy writing!

P.S. Like the new photo! Variety is the spice of life! It’s cool to keep things different. ;-)

Woohoo! You go Karen and you rock Shelli for being the encouraging, supportive Diva you are. As for who’s next, would it be totally immodest if I said me? Branded is more than halfway done and I am digging where it is going! I am hoping to have it done by the 23rd and ready to submit by the 30th! I can’t wait! I even have a title for my Octoberfest submission! Tricking Sadie’s Treat. Is that too suggestive? I hope not, it’s like the first title I’ve ever come up with myself. :D

Give lil Miss Emma my congrats on her rite of passage. Getting your toenails painted for the first time is up there with your official trip to the salon. :D

And as for your goat, I think he’s kind of cute. :D

Isn’t it exciting to find a new thread to weave your creative juices!

Just to let you know, you won the recent ESCAPE the Mondayn contest on my blog! I don’t know if my email to you went through so you can email me from the profile with your snail mail and I’ll get your Daily Organizer in the mail. Congratulations!!

So great that you’ve found a genre that really works for you! That is like gold…

Love your new pic - very summery indeed…

Thanks for all of your encouragement and support. You helped me a lot with that story and now look at me! I joined the Cobblestone party, lol!!!!!

Tips on writing great threesome scenes? I bet you never thought you’d write THAT sentence, huh? lololololol

My daughter just got her toenails painted for the fist time too! She felt like such a girl. And you gotta love a goat pic!

    :) :) :) :) :)

    Congrats to Karen!!

My daughter loves to have her finger and toe nails painted! She is so cute. She will blow on her little finger nails until they dry. She always wants me to paint them over and over too. I have to sidetrack her. But it is fun.

    Yay for Karen!

The goat is cute. But how in the world did you find him in a search for confetti? LOL!

  11. 11

I think the goat is cute :) Actually I’d like to know what goats and confetti have in common as well!

Oh, hugs on the rejection. You know sometimes a particular manuscript doesn’t grab an agent while another one will. Try another one, Shelli. Maybe something paranormal? Good luck!

LOL–you got my goat, he’s mine!
