Happy Monday! Did everyone have a great weekend? I hope so! I had a pretty good one. Lot’s of promo’ing and local chapter stuff going on. Argh. Anyone ever feel like they’ve bitten off more than can chew? *Waving hands in the air madly* Remind me to slow down a bit.

So I took Emma to the mall today, we haven’t been there in awhile. We played on the playground, went to the Disney store. And I ended up buying her a bikini at Gymboree even though I said no bikinis. But it was so cute and on sale. Plus they resell so well! LOL. Right now she’s carrying around a toy cell phone holding a pretend conversation with Ruby from that show/book “Max and Ruby” Only 2 1/2 and she’s already addicted to cell phones! *Groan* I’m in trouble!

So I started my Halloween book. I’m excited about it! It’s going to be a lot of fun, and of course have a bit of a modern, fun edge. Because that’s how I write. My heroine is a witch, but she’s kind of a hippie, earthy, witch. With an addiction to designer shoes :) Anyway, she ends up falling for a vampire, which is a bit of a problem, since she’s a vegetarian. The Halloween book is going to be one of three that are related. Sara, Loribelle and I are all writing inter-related Halloween books. Three witches that are friends go to the same party on Halloween night, and get into all kinds of trouble! We’re all taking witch for our book.

So I was doing great on Weight Loss, I think down 4lb in two weeks. But then I had the misfortune of PMS and the release of my book falling at the same time. What a combination for eating bad. I swear, I need to figure out how to get around PMS bad eating. I eat anything not nailed down during that time of the month. Speaking of, I think I missed a piece of candy in my box of See’s candy.

Okay, off to round up Emma and get her ready for bed. Thanks again to everyone who visits my blog!

OH! Forgot to mention, Roberta Brown (agent) is looking at the first 2 chapters of my book Grounds for Arousal. But remember, I’m a realist, so I’m not getting my hopes up :)

Your daughter and my daughter must get together. They would have fabulous cell phone conversations. :) And I felt the same way about bikinis, and then ended up buying one for my daughter, too. Oh, well. They’re just so dang cute!

Your Halloween story sounds fun! And don’t beat yourself up about the possible weight gain. You deserved to treat yourself!

I know what you mean about phones bikinis! Sounds like you and the gals have a cool thing going. Aiming for an anthology?

Your WIP sounds like a lot of fun. Tomorrow is another day for the dieting. Don’t knock yourself out about the odd slip. It’s not an easy road! Great news about the agent request. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you.

And the bikini is so cute. Kid’s clothes are so attractive these days. We have a cool store over here called Pumpkin Patch that does the cutest outfits for kids.

What is it about Max and Ruby? Is every two year old addicted?

    Congrats on your release, Shelli!

My four year old loves Max and Ruby. I asked him “Why?”. His answer? “Because Max is bad.” LOL. He said it with such relish! I just don’t know where he gets that naughty side.
Can’t wait for the collaboration. LOL at the hippie, vegetarian witch falling for a vampire.

I think my little one and your little one would get along! Mckenzie loves phones, always wants her nails painted, and goes crazy for chap stick. She is two as well.

    What a cute swim outfit!

Your Halloween story sounds interesting can’t wait to read more about it.

I like the title ‘Grounds for Arousal.’ Good luck with the agent.

And congrats again on the release of your first book! Yay!

Ok, I had to comment again cos Kelley’s daughter sounds like my daughter as well (chapstick lover for sure!) and the Max & Ruby thing…heck, I love Max & Ruby. They’re like my two youngest. I even sing it w/ their names inserted. “Jack and Amy…Amy and Jack!” My kids love it. :)

you guys are too funny! Emma hasn’t discovered chapstick yet.

Oh my goodness Shelli! I think it’s catching. I am doing the whole PMS bad eating thing and it’s driving me crazy! I don’t have junk food in my house but that doesnt seem to stop me from pigging out. :( And with Atlanta only forty something days away! Wah!

Anyway, she ends up falling for a vampire, which is a bit of a problem, since she’s a vegetarian.

I can’t wait to read this! That is just too cute!

I have my fingers crossed for you! Can’t wait until you hear back from Roberta! Good luck!

Cute suit Shelli! I bet Emma is adorable in it.

My son loves Chap stick, and the story sounds way awesome! Can’t wait to read it.

On PMS eating… I think I eat nothing BUT chocolate during that time… well okay maybe I have a few salt licks…
