Okay, I’m back from Whidbey. I have to tell you I barely made it. I need to be within reach of the Internet. I have waaaay too many emails coming in right now and I get mega stressed if I can’t check them and have adequate time to respond. In other word, I’m addicted
So I didn’t get to the EC Caveman entry. That love scene I added in was long than I thought, plus I had to do some filler stuff for the book. So Silk Hauntings is out to a couple CP partners, Lacy and Heather H. and hopefully they’ll tell me whether it’s utter crap soon, or if it’s at all good. I know that sounds totally ridiculous, but sometimes as a writer you’re just too close to the story. There’s no ellement of surprise since you’re the one who wrote it. I love the fresh perspective.
On a food note, I ate pretty darn bad the past couple of days. But I’m over it and vowing to be good again. In fact, I need to drag Emma to the grocery store. My newest thing will be low carb tortillas with fatfree cheese, with a tiny bit of full fat cheese for flavor. And I was also thinking of stir fry. Buying pre package cut veggies, throwing in some yakisoba noodles and pre cut chicken (i get sooo grossed out with chicken, i should just go veggie, i swear!) How does that sound… good, eh? Somewhat? No? Fine! I’m doing it anyway. Or I could just buy a healthy choice frozen dinner. Hey, not a bad idea.
I was so excited, someone pointed out I was in the Passionate Ink newsletter, a couple of times! Yay! One for finaling in the Stroke of Midnight, and two for selling my first book.
Thanks for all the people who posted responses to me that past few days. Nobody visits me anymore and it brought tears to my eyes…. okay not tears, but I did go… “Oh… how sweet!”
All right, off to the store. Bribing Emma with the promise of a cookie at the bakery.
